Broadway Shows Smash Records During Christmas Week

Broadway Shows Smash Records During Christmas Week

During Christmas week, several Broadway shows broke their house records.

Stranger Things: The First Shadow had its best week ever with $2.5 million, partly because new Netflix episodes made people more interested.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child also had a record week with $3.7 million, helped by Tom Felton joining the cast.

Just In Time, a musical about Bobby Darin, had its highest-grossing week, and Ragtime, a revival of a classic musical, broke records at its theater.

These shows did really well because of their connections to popular TV shows and movies, and because people love seeing them during the holidays.
