Gujarat to develop five satellite towns by 2030
Gujarat, a state in India, is planning to build five new satellite towns near big cities like Ahmedabad and Vadodara.
These towns will have really good facilities like electric buses, parks, and shops.
The idea is to make these towns nice places to live and work, so that not too many people crowd into the big cities.
The government is working with city planners to make this happen by the year 2030.
This plan is part of a bigger vision to make India a stronger and more developed country by 2047.
Gujarat plans to develop five satellite towns by 2030 to reduce pressure on major cities.
The towns are Sanand (near Ahmedabad), Savli (Vadodara), Kalol (Gandhinagar), Bardoli (Surat), and Hirasar (Rajkot).
These towns will have metro-like facilities, including electric bus services, advanced water supply, and waste management systems.
The initiative is part of the vision for Viksit Bharat by 2047, aiming to accelerate the development of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
The government has invited urban planners to prepare master plans for these towns through tenders.
