Iran, Oman Near Temporary Strait of Hormuz Shipping Deal

Iran, Oman Near Temporary Strait of Hormuz Shipping Deal

Iran and Oman are very close to making an agreement.

The agreement is about the Strait of Hormuz, a very important waterway.

Many ships that carry oil sail through this strait.

The deal would let ships sail through again without paying fees or tolls.

It would also help Iran and the United States stay calm and peaceful.

The two countries had made a promise in June to pause their fighting.

This new deal could give them more time to talk and negotiate.

An important Iranian official said the deal could last for two to four months.

He also said it does not mean the whole strait will open again right away.

The President of the United States says the countries are talking and making a lot of progress.
