MSRTC Buses Lacking First Aid Kits, Wi‑Fi, Charging Ports
A lot of people use buses run by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) every day.
At one bus depot in Pune, many buses do not have the safety kit that should help if someone gets hurt.
Even when the kit is there, it is empty or dusty.
The buses also have charging points for phones and free Wi‑Fi, but those are broken or not working.
The transport minister visited the depot, said the problems must be fixed in a month, and told workers to improve the facilities.
Passengers can complain to the depot manager, but the problems are still happening.
First aid kits missing on about 80% of MSRTC buses at Vallabh Nagar depot.
Existing kits are empty or covered in dust, lacking essential supplies.
Charging ports and free Wi‑Fi are non‑functional on most buses.
Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik inspected the depot and ordered improvements within a month.
Passengers can file complaints to the depot manager, but no relief has yet been seen.
