Bar Association Seeks Reforms for Judicial Appointments

The Supreme Court Bar Association wants the way judges are chosen to be improved.

They've asked the top judges and the government to update the rules for selecting judges.

They want the new rules to make sure judges are picked based on their skills and fairness, not who they know.

The association believes that the current system needs changes to become more open and fair.

This involves amending the Memorandum of Procedure, or MoP, to make the process more transparent and focused on merit.
