Milma Reports Higher Milk, Curd and Ghee Sales During Onam
Milma is a dairy company that sells milk and other products in Kerala.
Its sales were higher during this year’s Onam season.
Between August 20 and 25, it sold more than 14.5 million litres of milk.
Milk sales were 5.61% higher than during the same period last year.
Curd sales also increased by 9.68%.
The Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Malabar unions all reported higher milk sales.
The unions also sold large quantities of ghee before Onam.
Milma said careful planning and supply management helped meet the festival demand.
Milma sold 1,45,76,846.63 litres of milk from August 20 to 25, up 5.61% from last year.
Curd sales reached 18,09,331.50 kg, a 9.68% increase over the corresponding period last year.
The Thiruvananthapuram union reported milk sales growth of 5.86% and curd sales growth of 7.94%.
The Ernakulam and Malabar unions recorded milk sales increases of 4.62% and 6.03%, respectively.
Milma attributed the gains to advance preparations and extensive supply-chain management for the festive rush.
