Man Arrested for Killing Co-Worker Over Beef Incident
A man named Virendra Yadav from Varanasi was arrested for killing his co-worker, Aftab Alam.
Virendra said that Aftab tricked him into eating beef, which is considered sacred by some people, and then made fun of him in front of their friends.
This made Virendra very angry.
He then took Aftab to a secluded spot, strangled him to death, and transferred money from Aftab's bank account to his own.
The police found out about the crime by looking at phone records, bank details, and CCTV footage.
They also found the rope used in the murder and some of Aftab's belongings with Virendra.

Yadav strangled Alam to death using a rope and dumped his body in Mahagaon village.
Police investigated using call detail records, bank details, and CCTV footage from an ATM.
