Court Denies Bail to Lashkar OGW for Funeral
A man named Mohammad Rafi, who is accused of working with a terrorist group and involved in illegal activities, asked the court for temporary release to attend his mother-in-law's funeral.
The court said no because he has been involved in serious crimes like drug trafficking and smuggling.
The police also found a lot of money and drugs at his house.
The court decided he should stay in jail because he might run away or scare the people involved in the case.
Meanwhile, the police also took away a house belonging to another person accused of selling drugs.
Court denied interim bail to Mohammad Rafi, an alleged OGW of Lashkar-e-Toiba, for attending his mother-in-law's funeral.
Prosecution described him as a habitual offender involved in narcotics, fake currency, and arms smuggling.
Evidence included Rs 2.30 crore in cash, USD 15,000, 7 kg heroin, and 1 kg cocaine recovered from his residence.
Court cited serious charges, criminal history, and flight risk as reasons for denying bail.
