IDF Demolishes East Jerusalem Building, Displaces Palestinians
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) demolished a big building with 13 apartments in East Jerusalem.
This building was home to many Palestinian families.
The IDF said the building was torn down because it was built without permission.
But Palestinian residents and rights groups say it's very hard for them to get building permits.
They also say this demolition is part of a bigger plan to move Palestinians out of the area.
The demolition happened on December 22, 2025, and it was the biggest one in East Jerusalem this year.
During the demolition, two people were arrested.
This event is happening while there are already a lot of tensions in the West Bank, with more settlements being approved and many Palestinians being displaced.
IDF demolished a 13-apartment building in East Jerusalem, displacing dozens of Palestinians.
The demolition was carried out without prior warning, despite a scheduled meeting to discuss legalizing the building.
Palestinian officials and rights groups condemn the demolition as part of a systematic policy to displace Palestinians.

The demolition comes amid escalating tensions in the West Bank, with 19 new settlements approved this year.
