Navy Jet and Helicopter Crash Off USS Nimitz in South China Sea
On Sunday, two Navy aircraft, a helicopter and a jet, fell into the ocean near a big Navy ship called the USS Nimitz.
This happened in a place called the South China Sea.
Luckily, all five people flying the planes were okay and are doing well.
The Navy is looking into why this happened.
The President of the United States thinks maybe the fuel wasn't good.
This is not the first time a Navy jet like this has crashed this year.
The Navy is trying to figure out exactly what went wrong with both the helicopter and the jet.
The investigation is ongoing.
A Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter and an F/A-18F Super Hornet jet crashed into the South China Sea.
The incidents occurred Sunday afternoon within 30 minutes of each other, while operating from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz.
All five crew members involved in both crashes are reported safe and in stable condition.
President Trump suggested that 'bad fuel' could be the cause of the 'very unusual' dual crashes.
The U.S. Pacific Fleet stated that the incidents are under investigation.
