CM Fadnavis to Inaugurate ₹7,000 Crore Projects in Nashik Ahead of Elections
Imagine Nashik is getting ready for a big festival called the Kumbh Mela, where many people will visit.
To make sure everyone can travel easily, they plan to widen the road between Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.
Some people were worried because widening the road might take some of their land.
A government minister talked to them and promised that they would only take the land they absolutely need and would pay fairly for it.
The Chief Minister is also coming to open many new projects that will help the city, like a new government building and water projects, all before new election rules start.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis is set to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects totaling ₹7,000 crore in Nashik on November 7.
The projects include the six-laning of the Nashik–Trimbak road, a new Zilla Parishad building, and the Trimbakeshwar lift irrigation scheme.
These inaugurations are planned before the election code of conduct takes effect for local body elections.
Kumbh Mela Minister Girish Mahajan assured that land for the Nashik-Trimbak road would be acquired only where necessary, with fair compensation for affected individuals.
Concerns over land acquisition were raised by citizens who had been protesting but have since suspended their hunger strike following discussions with Minister Mahajan.
