Maharashtra acts on infrastructure gaps at Pune's Chakan belt

Maharashtra acts on infrastructure gaps at Pune's Chakan belt

In a place called Chakan in Pune, India, there are many factories where people make things.

The roads near these factories are full of big holes, and traffic is very bad.

Because of this, more than 20 companies said they want to move their factories somewhere else.

The leaders of Maharashtra, the state where Pune is, heard about this problem.

The Chief Minister said the government will fix the roads and other problems.

The Deputy Chief Minister told workers to fill the potholes first.

The government also promised to build a police station, a fire station, and other helpful buildings.

Some leaders are worried that if the factories leave, many people will lose their jobs.

Other leaders say the government should have fixed these problems earlier.

Everyone agrees that keeping the factories and protecting jobs is very important.
