Farooq Abdullah: Protests for restoration of J-K statehood will continue

Farooq Abdullah is the leader of a political party in India called the National Conference.

He says something the Indian government did in 2019 was not right.

In 2019, the government took away the special status of a place called Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir used to be a special state with its own rules.

The government split it into two parts called union territories.

Mr Abdullah and many other people are upset about this.

They want the special state status to come back.

To show this, they held protests in many places and near the Parliament building.

Mr Abdullah said the protests will keep going.

He also said the whole country supports these protests.
