Youth Restore Rayalaseema’s Heritage Structures
In the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, young people are working together to fix old temples, ponds, and wells that have been neglected for a long time.
They are using their own money and efforts to make these places beautiful again.
For example, in one village, they built steps to reach a temple on a high hill.
In another place, they cleaned and rebuilt an old pond so it can hold water again.
This has made the groundwater better in that area.
Many people are inspired by these efforts and are starting similar projects in their own villages.
So far, more than 130 villages have been involved in this restoration work.
The young people believe that when everyone works together, they can achieve anything.
Youth in Rayalaseema are voluntarily restoring ancient temples, ponds, and wells.
In Kadapa district, youth rebuilt a hilltop temple using indigenous methods and pooled ₹1 crore.
In Kurnool district, volunteers restored a ruined pond, raising groundwater levels.
In Anantapur district, a hilltop temple was reconstructed with community efforts.
Over 130 villages across Rayalaseema have participated in restoration projects.
