Nellore Plans ₹4,000-Crore Credit Outreach for Agriculture and Growth

Nellore district wants to help people get more loans.

The planned programme could provide up to ₹4,000 crore in credit.

The money would support farming, jobs, education and businesses.

Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy asked banks and officials to prepare the plan.

He said banks should help improve people’s livelihoods, not only focus on business.

Collector Himanshu Shukla asked banks to lend more for farming and related activities.

This could include loans for harvesters, tractors, drones and balers.

Banks may also adopt villages to work more closely with local communities.

The programme could be held in December or January.
