KSIE Proposes Logistics Hub Near Vizhinjam Port
KSIE, a company owned by the Kerala government, wants to build a big storage and shipping center called a logistics hub.
They plan to build it in Balaramapuram, near a new port called Vizhinjam.
They need permission from the Coconut Research Institute because they want to use some of its land.
The hub will help with shipping things to and from the port.
They are also looking at other locations near the port, but that land is controlled by another company.
KSIE also plans to increase its cargo operations from airports in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode soon.
KSIE proposed to establish an integrated logistics hub at Balaramapuram.
The project aligns with the industrial development plans associated with Vizhinjam International Seaport.
KSIE identified a 10-15 acre land parcel at Kattachalkuzhi for the hub.
The land currently belongs to the Coconut Research Institute of Kerala Agricultural University.
KSIE is also interested in acquiring land closer to the port.
