Chinmaya Mission Sets Guinness World Record

Chinmaya Mission, a global spiritual organization, set a Guinness World Record on May 9, 2026.

Over 8,277 people from more than 70 countries chanted Chapter 15 of the Bhagavad Gita together online.

This event was part of a year-long celebration called Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, marking 75 years of the Chinmaya Movement.

The event was organized using Cisco Webex, with nearly 1,000 volunteers helping to manage the online sessions.

The record highlights the global importance of the Bhagavad Gita's teachings and the use of modern technology to promote spiritual learning and cultural connection.
