Virgin Trains secures Channel Tunnel access to rival Eurostar

Virgin Trains secures Channel Tunnel access to rival Eurostar

There is a train that goes under the sea between England and France.

It is called Eurostar, and it has been the only train doing this for a very long time.

Now another train company, called Virgin Trains, wants to run trains on the same route.

A group that checks train rules has said Virgin can use the tunnel.

Virgin wants to run trains from London to Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam.

The trains might start in the year 2030.

Virgin says it will spend a lot of money and create new jobs.

But there are still more checks to do before the trains can run.

If it works, people will have more choices for traveling to Europe by train.
