India Discovers New Gold Mines, Boosting Domestic Production Hopes
Imagine India really loves gold, but it usually has to buy most of it from other countries.
Recently, explorers found new places in India where they can dig up gold!
They found some in states like Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh.
One place in Odisha has a good amount, and another in Andhra Pradesh could make a lot of gold each year.
Madhya Pradesh might have a really, really huge amount!
Finding gold in India means the country might not need to buy as much from overseas.
This is good because it helps India's money situation.
Even though gold prices have been high, making it a bit harder for people to buy jewelry, these new mines could make a big difference in how much gold India has.
New gold mines discovered in Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh in 2025.
Estimated 1,685 kg of gold ore found in Odisha's Deogarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj districts.
Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur region estimated to have lakhs of tonnes of gold.
India's first large private gold mine in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district to produce 750 kg annually.
