BEST bus crashes into divider in Mumbai; one dead, 10 injured
A big bus in Mumbai called a BEST bus hit a divider and a bridge on the side of the road.
A man who was standing nearby got hurt and sadly died.
The bus driver and the bus conductor also got hurt, along with eight other people on the bus.
The bus was going on the Sion-Panvel Highway in a place called Mankhurd.
The police are trying to find out why the bus hit the divider.
This is not the first time a BEST bus has been in an accident recently.
Just a few days ago, another BEST bus hit many cars and hurt people in different parts of Mumbai.
A BEST bus crashed into a roadside divider and a bridge parapet on the Sion-Panvel highway in Mumbai's Mankhurd area, resulting in one death and ten injuries.
The deceased was a 62-year-old pedestrian, Bhaskar Raosaheb Kagde, who was declared dead at Rajawadi Hospital.
The bus driver, Banvari Shriram Prasad Sharma (51), and conductor, Vaibhav Waghmare (41), were injured and hospitalized along with eight passengers.
The accident occurred near Vishwakarma Hospital and Mankhurd Bridge at around 8:30 am, with the driver citing brake failure as the cause.
This is the third significant BEST bus accident in Mumbai this month, following incidents on July 8 and July 10.
