Tricolour Trouble: Flag Errors Force Deletion of Celebrity I-Day Posts
Independence Day is a very important holiday in India, when people celebrate their country.
On this day, a famous movie star named Allu Arjun shared a picture online to celebrate.
But the Indian flag in the picture was wrong — it was missing the Ashoka Chakra, the blue wheel in the middle of the flag.
The picture also showed his own personal logo "AA" on a famous building called the Red Fort.
Lots of people on the internet saw the mistakes and were upset about them.
The picture was taken down quickly, but people had already saved copies of it.
The same day, another actor, Vijay Deverakonda, and his movie team also removed a patriotic poster they had shared.
Nobody has explained why that poster was taken down.
People are still talking about how careful celebrities should be when they use the national flag.
Allu Arjun's official social media handle shared Independence Day promotional artwork featuring an error-ridden Indian national flag, drawing heavy trolling.
The poster's Tricolour was missing the Ashoka Chakra, and 'AA' branding, including a logo placed on the Red Fort, drew criticism for mixing patriotism with self-promotion.
The post was quickly taken down by his team, but screenshots had already triggered a wave of online criticism.
In a related incident, Vijay Deverakonda and Mythri Movie Makers deleted an Independence Day post featuring the new Ranabaali patriotic poster on August 15.
Neither Vijay's team nor the film's producers have offered an official explanation, and no specific technical or factual error in the Ranabaali poster has been confirmed.
