Netflix Documentary Examines Trump’s Secret Turkey Plane Switch
Netflix is making a documentary about a secret airplane change involving Donald Trump.
The change happened while he was returning from a NATO summit in Turkey.
Reporters thought Trump was on one plane, but he secretly left it and boarded a smaller military aircraft.
He was reportedly moved between planes in a truck normally used to carry food and drinks.
The White House said the change was made because of security threats from Iran.
Many reporters stayed on the first plane and did not know Trump was somewhere else.
This made the plane a kind of decoy and caused confusion when the story became public.
The documentary will include accounts from reporters, a former Secret Service agent, and a former Air Force One crew member.
It is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on September 4, although one report identifies the incident as occurring in July 2026 while others give July 8 without a year.
Netflix will release “Instadocs: The Decoy Plane,” a documentary about Donald Trump’s secret aircraft transfer in Turkey.
Reports say Trump left the publicly identified Air Force One via a catering truck and boarded a smaller Air Force C-32A.
The White House attributed the switch to security threats from Iran during Trump’s NATO summit trip.
Trump later flew through RAF Mildenhall, switched back to the Qatar-gifted Boeing 747-B, and continued to Joint Base Andrews.
The documentary will feature journalists and former security and aviation personnel, including Dan Lamothe and Gram Slattery.
