Delhi Protest Food Volunteer Now Serves Students in Ranchi
A kind man named Junaid used to bring free food and water to people protesting in Delhi.
Now he has travelled to a city called Ranchi to help students there.
These students think their government job exams were not fair or honest.
They have been sitting outside a stadium for two weeks.
Some students have stopped eating to show how strongly they feel.
Junaid and his friends serve them breakfast and plan to cook veg biryani for dinner.
He wants the leader of the state, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, to listen to the students.
Junaid is worried that rainwater at the protest site could bring mosquitoes and make people sick.
The students want the exam redone and a fair investigation by a trusted agency.
They are ready to talk to the government, but they say the government has not invited them yet.
Mohammad Junaid Malik, who supplied food to Delhi's Jantar Mantar protesters for 35 days and moved the Supreme Court over alleged police detention, is now serving meals to students in Ranchi.
The protest over alleged irregularities in Jharkhand recruitment exams entered its 14th day on Friday, August 7.
Six demonstrators are on an indefinite hunger strike, one of whom has been hospitalised.
Protesters demand cancellation of the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Civil Services Examination, an independent probe by the CBI or a panel of retired high court judges, and reforms in the JPSC and JSSC.
An 11-member student delegation sought talks after Chief Minister Hemant Soren offered dialogue, but students say no formal invitation has been received.
