FDA Awaits Replies From Five MCA Restaurants Over Third-Party Operations

FDA Awaits Replies From Five MCA Restaurants Over Third-Party Operations

Maharashtra’s food safety department is checking five restaurants at the Mumbai Cricket Association’s property.

The Mumbai Cricket Association has the food-business licenses for those restaurants.

However, another company, Shirke Infrastructure, is said to be running them.

The FDA says the actual operator must have its own license or registration.

The department sent notices asking for an explanation.

The restaurants had earlier faced action over hygiene and structural problems.

Their license suspensions were lifted after intervention by the Bombay High Court.

The FDA will decide what to do after receiving the replies.
