Diarrhoea Outbreak in Srikakulam
In a village in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, nine people got sick with diarrhoea.
They were taken to the hospital, and one person, Chinna Rao, who was 70 years old, died.
The officials think the water might be dirty, but tests showed it was safe.
They are giving clean water through tankers and checking every house to make sure no one else gets sick.
The Chief Minister wants to know why people got sick and how to stop it from happening again.
Nine people were hospitalised due to a diarrhoea outbreak in Tallavalasa village, Srikakulam district.
One person, Chinna Rao (70), died due to multiple organ dysfunction and a heart attack, not directly from diarrhoea.
Health authorities set up camps and conducted door-to-door health checks to monitor and prevent the spread.
Water samples were tested and found to be safe, but the water supply was temporarily suspended as a precaution.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to investigate the cause and ensure safe drinking water for all households.
