Rohit Pawar Demands MPSC Chief’s Resignation, Citing Corruption Allegations

Rohit Pawar wants Vivek Bhimanwar to resign as head of the MPSC.

The MPSC helps select people for government jobs in Maharashtra.

Pawar says Bhimanwar’s earlier postings had problems involving recruitment, transfers and money.

He says he has three bags of documents supporting his claims.

Some evidence has reportedly been given to the Chief Minister and Governor.

Pawar says he may release more documents if the government does not act.

He also suggested that officer Tukaram Mundhe could lead the MPSC instead.

Pawar said students should decide whether to protest.

A larger protest in Pune may begin on September 16, after the early days of Ganeshotsav.
