VSP Achieves Record Hot Metal Production
The Vizag Steel Plant (VSP) made a big record by producing the most hot metal in a single day, which is 21,012 metric tonnes.
This happened on December 14.
The plant has been doing well lately, using 92% of its capacity.
The government has given a lot of money to help the plant, over ₹14,000 crore, to make sure it has enough materials and power.
A new temporary leader, Manish Raj Gupta, will start working there on January 1, 2026.
The plant has been having some money problems, but this record shows it's doing better.
Some people are worried about jobs and other issues, but the plant is trying to improve.

The plant has been averaging 19,450 tonnes per day in December, utilizing 92% of its capacity.
Improved raw material availability, disciplined furnace operations, and better management practices contributed to the record.
