TGBIE Imposes Up to ₹10 Lakh Fines on Junior Colleges
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education, or TGBIE, is a government group that checks schools in the state.
On July 30, 2023, they said they had found some private junior colleges that were not following the rules.
Because of this, the board fined those schools between ₹1 lakh and ₹10 lakh.
They also stopped giving those schools permission to run for the next school year, 2026‑27, if they didn’t have good buildings, fire safety, or proper teachers.
The board keeps looking at schools with special teams and tells students and parents to double‑check that a school is officially approved before they enroll.
They want to keep students safe and make sure schools follow the law.
TGBIE fined several private junior colleges between ₹1 lakh and ₹10 lakh for rule violations.
Affiliations for the 2026–27 academic year were withheld for schools failing infrastructure, fire safety, and academic standards.
Task Force teams conducted inspections that led to the penalties.
The board warned of strict disciplinary and legal action against non‑compliant institutions.
Awareness campaigns urge students and parents to verify college affiliation before admission.
