Alur Shutdown Demands Adoni District
People in Alur, a town in Kurnool district, held a big protest on Saturday.
They want the government to create a new district called Adoni.
The protest was so strong that shops closed, and traffic got stuck for hours.
The MLA of Alur, Virupakshi, supported the protest and said that making Adoni a district would help the area grow faster.
He also said that most political parties, except one, support this idea.

The protest aims to improve governance, accelerate development, and provide better administrative access for western areas of Kurnool district.
MLA Virupakshi claimed that all major political parties except the Telugu Desam Party support the demand and warned of intensified efforts if the government does not act.
