India Wins Asian Games Golds in Archery and Boxing
India had a very successful day at the Asian Games.
The women’s recurve archery team won India’s first gold medal in that event at the Games.
Ankita Bhakat, Kirti Sharma and Kumkum Mohod beat South Korea 5-3.
Lovlina Borgohain won the women’s 75kg boxing gold by beating China’s Bao Ziyi 5-0.
She won the medal on her birthday and became only the second Indian woman boxer to win Asian Games gold after Mary Kom.
Parveen Hooda and Ankush Panghal also won boxing gold medals.
Sujeet Kalkal won wrestling gold in the men’s 65kg freestyle event.
