Male Tiger Captured, Search Continues for Tigress and Cubs
Forest workers in India caught a big male tiger near a village on Tuesday night.
They used special elephants and a sleepy dart to catch the tiger safely.
The tiger was then taken to a safe forest area.
Earlier, a mother tiger with four baby tigers was seen in the same area, but they haven't been seen recently.
The workers think the mother and her babies might have moved to a different part of the forest.
They are still looking for them to keep people safe.
A male tiger was successfully captured near Nanjedevarapura village in Chamarajanagar taluk on Tuesday night.
The capture involved trained elephants and a tranquilizer dart administered by veterinarians.
The tiger, approximately six years old, was transported to the Bandipur Tiger Reserve for monitoring and release.
The operation followed sightings of a tigress with four cubs in the area, but the family group has not been seen recently.
Forest officials suspect the tigress and her cubs may have moved to a deeper wilderness area.
