TTD Silk Shawl Scam Sparks Political Blame Game
There was a big problem at a famous temple in India.
The temple leaders bought special silk shawls and scarves, but they found out these were not real silk but fake ones made of a different material.
This trick happened over many years and cost the temple a lot of money.
Now, two political parties are blaming each other.
One party says the other party let this happen when they were in charge.
The other party says the first party is just trying to make them look bad.
The temple leaders are asking for an investigation to find out what really happened.
TTD procured synthetic silk shawls and dupattas instead of pure silk, costing an estimated Rs 54 crore in losses.
The scam spanned from 2015 to 2025 and was detected through a vigilance probe.
YSRCP accuses the TDP-led NDA government of exploiting the issue for political gain and inadequate monitoring.
YSRCP leaders claim the scam is a longstanding issue from the TDP's tenure and criticize the current TTD Chairman for failing in his duties.
The case is expected to be investigated by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
