Nepal Pledges Safety for Foreign Nationals Amid Deadly Floods

Nepal is carrying out rescue work after severe flash floods and mudslides.

Many people have died, and thousands are still missing.

Nepal’s foreign minister said the government will protect visitors from other countries just as it protects Nepali citizens.

More than 400 people have been rescued so far.

Over 200 of those rescued were foreign nationals.

A special helpline has been created to help foreigners find information and assistance.

India has sent aircraft, supplies, and experts to help Nepal.

Officials say 261 foreigners from 23 countries are still unaccounted for, including 49 Indians.
