Northeast Frontier Railway to Promote Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign
A big train company in India called the Northeast Frontier Railway is helping with a special celebration called 'Har Ghar Tiranga'.
Tiranga means the Indian flag, which has three colours.
The campaign asks every family in India to proudly put the flag outside their home.
It was started in 2022 as part of a big celebration called 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
The railway will tell people about the campaign at its stations and offices.
It will also hold special flag ceremonies and light up its stations in the flag's colours.
The national song 'Vande Mataram' will be played at big stations.
People are invited to take a selfie with the flag and share it.
This helps everyone feel proud of their country and stay united.
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will hold awareness and outreach activities for the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign at railway stations, offices and other establishments.
NFR will observe the campaign from Sunday to August 17, in line with the Union government's initiative to encourage citizens to hoist the National Flag at their homes.
The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign was launched by the Union government in 2022 under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
Flag hoisting ceremonies will be organised at railway offices and establishments, and prominent railway stations will be illuminated in the colours of the Tiranga.
Instrumental renditions of 'Vande Mataram' will be played through the Public Address System at major stations, and employees and the public are encouraged to upload 'Selfie with Tiranga' photos.
