7.5 lakh fish fingerlings released into Krishna river
A big event happened where a lot of tiny fish, called fingerlings, were put into the Krishna River.
This was done to help the fishermen who live near the river.
The person in charge, a local leader, said that about 70% of these tiny fish will grow up.
When they do, they will become about 5.25 lakh big fish.
These fish can be sold, and the money from selling them will help about 5,000 fishermen.
The fish from this river are very popular, and more fish means more food for people and more money for the fishermen.
7.5 lakh fish fingerlings were released into the Krishna River to boost fish wealth and support fishermen's livelihoods.
The initiative is expected to yield about 5.25 lakh mature fish, producing an estimated 5.25 lakh kg of fish.
The estimated income from selling the fish is around Rs 5.25 crore.
This initiative is expected to benefit nearly 5,000 fishermen who depend on the Krishna River.
The Fisheries Department organizes this event annually to ensure sustainable income for fishermen.
