Indian Mutual Funds Grow, Debt Funds Inflows Rise
The Indian mutual fund industry is growing!
The total value of investments hit over ₹70 lakh crore.
Different types of funds, like those that track indexes and stocks, are seeing lots of growth.
Debt funds are also doing well, with more money coming in than before.
This growth is happening because of things like how much money the Reserve Bank of India is putting into the economy, and also due to the current interest rates.
Some experts believe short-term corporate bonds may be good investments.
Indian mutual fund AUM crossed ₹70 lakh crore, marking a 22.25% YoY growth.
Open-ended schemes saw highest YoY AUM growth at 23.80%, followed by equity schemes at 23.57%.
Debt mutual funds AUM rose 20.5% in FY25 with net inflows of ₹1.38 lakh crore.
RBI's liquidity injections and potential dividend could steepen the yield curve.
Axis MF believes short-term corporate bonds are now better positioned.
