Hyderabad’s GCC Hub Set to Add 70 Centres Within Year
Hyderabad is becoming a major location for offices run by global companies.
These offices are called Global Capability Centres, or GCCs.
A report says the city already has about 515 GCCs.
Together, they employ more than 3 lakh people.
The report expects 50-70 more centres to open within a year.
Companies are choosing Hyderabad because it has many skilled workers and lower office costs than Bengaluru.
GCCs in the city now work in areas such as technology, banking, healthcare and life sciences.
More office buildings are also being planned to support this growth.
Hyderabad has around 515 Global Capability Centres employing more than 3 lakh people, according to a FICCI-Anarock report.
The city accounts for about 20% of India’s Global Capability Centres.
Foreign-company office leasing for GCCs rose from 1.9 million sq ft in 2021 to 4.5 million sq ft in 2025.
Another 50-70 GCCs are expected in Hyderabad within a year across technology, engineering, BFSI, life sciences, analytics, consulting and digital operations.
Hyderabad’s Grade A office stock totals 125 million sq ft, with another 36 million sq ft expected over the next few years.
