Volvo Launches New Electric SUV with 810 km Range
Volvo is launching a new electric SUV called the EX60.
It can travel up to 810 kilometers on a single charge, which is more than most other electric SUVs.
This is important because some people worry that electric cars can't go far enough without needing to be charged.
The new car can also add 340 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes of charging.
Volvo hopes this will make more people want to buy electric cars instead of ones that use gas.
The EX60 is the electric version of Volvo's popular XC60 car and will be the first car built on Volvo's new electric-only platform.
However, Volvo is also recalling some of its other models, like the XC40 and EX30, because of problems with the rearview camera and a small risk of battery overheating.
These issues will be fixed with a software update.
Volvo's new EX60 electric SUV offers up to 810 km (503 miles) of range on a single charge.
The EX60 can add up to 340 km of range in around 10 minutes of charging under optimal conditions.
The model is the all-electric successor to Volvo's best-selling XC60 combustion engine car.
Volvo is recalling 413,151 vehicles in the US due to rearview camera failure and battery overheating risks.
Full pricing and specifications for the EX60 will be unveiled on January 21.
