Rubber Board Hosts EUDR Program for Rubber Manufacturers
The Rubber Board organized a meeting in Kochi to help rubber product makers understand new European Union rules.
These rules say products can't come from land where trees were cut down after 2020.
The meeting taught them about mapping where rubber comes from and how to prove it's deforestation-free.
This helps them get a certificate to sell in Europe.
About 70 people from companies, including tire makers, attended the meeting.
The new rule starts in January 2026.
The Rubber Board held an EUDR sensitization program for rubber product manufacturers in Kochi.
The program focused on supply chain mapping and traceability.
70 participants, including tire company representatives, attended the program.
EUDR requires products sold in the EU to be deforestation-free by January 1, 2026.
The Rubber Board is geo-mapping plantations to help exporters get Due Diligence Certificates.
