Bawankule Directs Jalgaon Officials to Prepare for Drought

Jalgaon is facing drought-like conditions, so officials met to plan ahead.

Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule told them to prepare for possible shortages of water and animal fodder.

He said farmers should not have to wait too long for crop loans or electricity connections.

Local staff were asked to help farmers finish their e-KYC paperwork and access government benefits.

Officials were also told not to keep asking people for the same documents.

Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan said the district needs to plan for drinking water.

He also encouraged farmers to grow crops that can be used as fodder.

District Collector Rohan Ghuge shared information about local conditions and government schemes.
