Indian Museum Uses AI, Digital Tools to Preserve Artefacts
The Indian Museum in Kolkata is working with IIT Kharagpur to use artificial intelligence to fix old artefacts and keep them safe in digital form.
They also teamed up with Google Art & Culture to create a virtual show where people can see the museum online.
New computer and AR tools let visitors explore the gallery in a fun way.
The government says that about 70% of the museum’s items can now be seen on the internet.
Other museums in India are also getting digital apps and software to help people learn about their history.
