He opened the batting against North Zone in Bengaluru on Sunday.

He hit four boundaries but was unable to make a larger score.

Abid Mushtaq bowled a ball that turned sharply and hit Shaw’s stumps.

North Zone had earlier made 251 runs before being dismissed.

West Zone were 23 runs for one wicket after Shaw’s dismissal.

The four-day quarter-final still had three days remaining.
