Mumbai's SCLR Extension With Iconic Cable-Stayed Bridge Ready to Open
A new bridge in Mumbai is finished and about to open!
This special bridge has a cool curved design and will make it easier to get around by connecting two big highways.
Right now, people have to go through traffic lights and busy roads, but the new bridge will let them go straight, saving time and avoiding traffic jams.
It's also a new landmark for Mumbai.
SCLR extension, including a cable-stayed bridge, is complete and ready to open.
The bridge features South Asia's first cable-stayed design with a 100-meter horizontal curve.
It will provide a direct route from Kurla to Panbai School, just before the airport.
The extension will create a seamless link between the Eastern and Western Express Highways.
Opening will bypass traffic at the Hans Bhugra Marg-WEH and Vakola junctions.
