ADSR Durgapur Complains Against Fake Real Estate Firm
A government official in Durgapur has complained about a fake real estate company that promised to build townships but used fake land documents.
The company collected money from many people who wanted to buy homes.
The police are investigating.
Similar complaints have been made in Kolkata.
The main owners of the company are missing, and one of them might have gone abroad.
An agent who worked for the company is also being investigated.
A previous government had stopped land registrations in some areas, which might be related to this scam.
ADSR of Durgapur lodged a complaint against 99 Builders Private Limited for forging land documents and duping people.
The company promised to build townships in areas like Bamunara, Fulljhore, Gopalmath, and Panagarh and collected money from buyers.
Buyers discovered the land deeds were fraudulent and lodged complaints with the land department and registrar.
Similar allegations have surfaced in Newtown, Kolkata, with the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate launching its own investigation.
The principal owner, Ram Pratap Singh, is believed to have fled abroad, and another owner, Ram Pal Inder Singh, is also absconding.
