Delhi Airport Metro Slows After Cable Theft Attempt

Delhi Airport Metro Slows After Cable Theft Attempt

Some people tried to steal cables from the Delhi Metro's Airport Express Line.

They cut about 800 metres of signalling cables between Dhaula Kuan and Shivaji Stadium stations.

Because of this, the metro trains are now running slower, at 25 kmph, on that part of the line.

The rest of the line is working normally.

The metro company, DMRC, is planning to fix the cables at night to avoid disturbing passengers during the day.

They are also working with the police to prevent this from happening again.

Passengers are being told to expect longer travel times and to plan their trips accordingly.
