GMR Power Net Profit Surges Over 3-Fold Amid Revenue Growth
Imagine GMR Power is like a lemonade stand.
In this quarter, they sold way more lemonade and made a lot more money than usual, almost three times as much profit!
This means their business is doing really well.
They also decided to help out one of their smaller stands, called GMR Kamalanga Energy, by promising to help them pay back a big loan if they need to.
The money they got from selling lemonade helped them grow, and their stock price on the market went up just a little bit.
GMR Power's net profit increased more than threefold to ₹888 crore.
The company experienced a 31% growth in revenue.
The board approved a corporate guarantee of approximately ₹2,970 crore for a subsidiary's credit facility.
The guarantee is for GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited to refinance an existing credit facility.
