VP Candidate Invokes Lohia Slogan on Democracy
B Sudarshan Reddy, the opposition's candidate for Vice President, is using old slogans by Ram Manohar Lohia.
Lohia, a famous socialist, used these slogans to criticize the government and remind people to stay involved in democracy.
One of the famous phrases is "When the streets are silent, Parliament becomes a wanderer."
It means that if people aren't paying attention, those in power might not do what's right.
It's interesting because Lohia was against both big parties.
Now, Reddy, supported by one of these parties, is using Lohia's words.
