DAC Meeting on Defence Projects Postponed
The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) meeting, which was supposed to happen on Friday, has been moved to next week.
This meeting is important because it was going to decide on several big projects to make India's army, navy, and air force stronger.
They were going to talk about buying lots of different things, like special missiles, drones, and even planes that can refuel other planes in the air.
Some of these things will be made in India, and some will be bought from other countries.
They also want to fix up some old tanks so they can be used again.
All of these things are to help keep India safe.
The meeting was postponed because they need more time to make these important decisions.
Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) meeting postponed to the last week of 2025.
Key projects include indigenous air defence systems, loitering munitions, and MQ-9B drones.
Indian Navy proposes acquisition of Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) systems.
Indian Air Force to consider Astra Mark-2 and Meteor missiles, and Spice-1000 munitions.
Indian Army proposes indigenous overhaul of 200 T-90 tanks and acquisition of mid-air refueller aircraft.
