Uttar Pradesh Steps Up Swine Flu Vigilance as Cases Rise

Swine flu, also called Influenza A H1N1, is increasing in parts of India during the monsoon.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath told officials to watch the situation closely.

He asked hospitals to prepare rooms, medicines, testing kits and treatments for patients.

District officials must regularly check whether health services are ready.

People were told not to ignore possible symptoms.

They should see a doctor and get tested when needed.

The Indian Medical Association said people should not take antibiotics or antiviral medicines without medical advice.

It also said the virus is still seasonal and has not shown new genetic mutations, so people should stay careful without panicking.
