Yadav Claims BJP Used Bihar’s Voter List Revision for Election Gain
Imagine there's a special way to check and update the list of people who can vote, called the SIR.
A big leader from a party called Samajwadi, Akhilesh Yadav, is saying that the BJP party used this SIR process in Bihar to unfairly change the voting lists and help themselves win.
He believes this 'game' has now been figured out and they won't let it happen again in other states like Uttar Pradesh.
Another party, Congress, also said that the way votes were being counted seemed strange and slowed down on purpose.
The people in charge of elections, called the Election Commission, say that SIR is just a normal way to make sure the voting lists are correct and they deny any cheating.
Even though these parties are making accusations, the election results showed the BJP-led alliance was winning by a lot in Bihar.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP of manipulating voter lists through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar.
Yadav stated that this alleged "game" has been exposed and will not be allowed in Uttar Pradesh or other states.
Bihar Congress chief Rajesh Ram alleged "serious anomalies" and a slowdown in the vote counting process.
The Election Commission (EC) rejected allegations of working with the BJP and denied vote tampering.
The BJP-led NDA was leading significantly in the Bihar Assembly elections.
